<KieranBingham[m]> Heya - I
<KieranBingham[m]> I'm having difficulty getting the Wifi to come up on an HP X2 Coach-z (SC7180) https://paste.debian.net/1306181/
<travmurav[m]> is rmtfs running?
<travmurav[m]> and I guess you'd want something like this for chromeos devices https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/tree/master/modem/msm-cros-efs-loader
<KieranBingham[m]> Sorry had to leave the room. Will boot up again when I get back. I believe it is running but I'll double check
<travmurav[m]> but this looks like either rmtfs is not running or it has no access to efs
<KieranBingham[m]> kbingham@fedora:~$ ps aux | grep rmtf
<KieranBingham[m]> kbingham 4861 0.0 0.0 222356 2048 pts/0 S+ 12:00 0:00 grep --color=auto rmtf
<KieranBingham[m]> root 863 0.0 0.0 11820 2076 ? Ss 11:14 0:00 /usr/bin/rmtfs -r -P -s
<KieranBingham[m]> So is the EFS something that runs separately as well?
<travmurav[m]> Kieran Bingham: efs is data that rmtfs serves, on a chromebook it won't be in the default place rmtfs looks for afaik
<travmurav[m]> (efs is partitions that contain modem settings like imei and so on, and you need modem cpu to run for wifi)
<travmurav[m]> so you'd probably need to use i.e. msm-cros-efs loader and point rmtfs to the files it extracts
<KieranBingham[m]> Thanks - I'll work through getting that to run before the rmtfs service ... I've run it manually and seen it's creatd new files, and I see the conf files in PMOS so I'll explore that.
<travmurav[m]> I think you should be good with manually extracting/creating efs once since those files are supposed to be persistent even
<KieranBingham[m]> Ok - so I just need to tell rmtfs where to look
<travmurav[m]> yep
<KieranBingham[m]> I see this file - but I don't see how this ties into rmtfs - https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/blob/master/modem/msm-cros-efs-loader/rmtfs.confd
<travmurav[m]> so just swap -P with -o /path/to/efs/files
<KieranBingham[m]> Thankyou looks like it's working, I'll liaise with Javier to get this packaged, and now I can move to cameras!
<KieranBingham[m]> and now from the device itself \0/
