wonders whether we should report that UVScan spammer
<ynezz>
Attack vector: Lacking a check for the return value of pcap_set_promisc. Suggested CVE description: Malfunction vulnerability in ead_open_pcap() function in OpenWrt latest version (and earlier) due to missing a check on the return value of pcap_set_promisc().
<ynezz>
is anyone aware about pcap_set_promisc() abuse? I can't find any reference to it.

<Mangix>
is intltool used by anything? I can't see any depends on it.
<\x>
so its not really just qualcomm and broadcom enabling it
<Ansuel>
\x would be really good to have a big list of supported device :D
<\x>
Ansuel: maybe it needs a github thread or a forum post so people can contribute
<\x>
but to have a forum post you need first to make it available for people so they can try
<soxrok2212_>
is there a negative consequence if it is enabled? i think im not seeing the disadvantage
<Ansuel>
\x good idea can you do that for me and then i will come with a patch?
<\x>
lol no Ansuel
<\x>
maybe soxrok2212_ will
<\x>
im not good with forum talks
<Ansuel>
\x >:(
<\x>
we need to know first which radios support the feature

so far in 2522, ipq40xx, mwlwifi stuff (AC1900 and up), MT7615, then I confirmed the intels, 8260AC, 9260AC, AX200
<\x>
and surely all ath10k being ran on 2.4GHz
<\x>
then on RT3200 thread theres a guy who managed to make it work with mtk-wifi so MT7622B radio clearly supports the feature
<\x>
and theres this bonus Ansuel, on ath10k wave2 radios, it also enables MU-MIMO, which will greatly help qca9884 radios being ran on 2.4GHz (e.g. unifi ac hd), it also got enabled on my ipq4019 but i dont know how useful that is being a 2x2 radio.
<\x>
soxrok2212_: I dont see the consequence too, with faster linkspeeds, then devices supporting the feature will use less airtime
<\x>
and if people dont like it, then make it an opt-in feature in luci, like a tickbox or something

(oh no i'm at the hack directory.... )
<\x>
TLDR, AC and AX capable radios on 2.4GHz will benefit

<rmilecki>
Mangix: python and dependencies are just shit
<rmilecki>
i'm trying to get ykman working
<rmilecki>
first pip installation attempt --> smartcard/scard/helpers.c:28:10: fatal error: winscard.h: No such file or directory
<\x>
soxrok2212_: yup
<rmilecki>
another attempt --> ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'smartcard'
<rmilecki>
still ykman deson't start: ImportError: cannot import name 'System' from 'smartcard'
<rmilecki>
(this error doesn't even have any Google results)
<rmilecki>
that's why I'm really worried about using Python unless really required

Same crescendo with missing C library dependencies. Only C makes it more fun with multilib, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and so.1.0.2 insead of so.1.0.1. Lovely!
