PaulFertser: yeah I can confirm the issue lies in kernel 6
<SpectreDev_01>
*6.1
<SpectreDev_01>
No reboots over night on 5.15

SpectreDev_01: hm, but same backports version?
<SpectreDev_01>
Wdym
<PaulFertser>
SpectreDev_01: on OpenWrt when you build it normal way all the wireless subsystem is not from the kernel you use but from some much newer kernel via backports mechanism.
<PaulFertser>
You can see the real version of the kernel drivers mentioned in dmesg if you search for "backports".
<SpectreDev_01>
Ah ok
<SpectreDev_01>
I see, but then what caused the reboot
<SpectreDev_01>
Wait I've just noticed Linksys used 2 different fw versions
<PaulFertser>
SpectreDev_01: my point is that probably it's not the difference between the kernel versions but the difference between the wireless drivers versions.
<SpectreDev_01>
It's weird I have 366mb ram total where as ax3600 on 5.15 has 400mb total both used 512mb ram so weird

robimarko: yeah 6.1 seems to suffer issues with memory, it gets full over time, where as 5.15 is perfectly fine, but I've noticed on your AX3600 you guys seem to 400mb ram in total available I only have 366mb on both 5.15 and 6.1 any reason as to why
<rmilecki>
SpectreDev_01: PaulFertser: robimarko: apart from "kmemleak", slub has great debugging support for tracking allocations
<rmilecki>
you can see which object cosumest a lot of memory
<rmilecki>
and print traces that allocated the most memory from that given object
<rmilecki>
it's really nice and simple
<rmilecki>
(and useful if it's not a matter of missing kfree() but just a high memory usage)
<SpectreDev_01>
Hmm will try thanks for the tip
