I was reading the logs here and noticed that someone said that bifrost is broken and not worth it. My GPU is a g52 which I understand to be bifrost so I guess from that comment I shouldn't expect any miracles?
<phagos>
In my cursory testing, vkcube seems to work well but some of my vulkan userspace apps crashed when going through weston but I haven't yet looked into why.
<CounterPillow>
yes, vulkan on bifrost is broken and not worth it
<CounterPillow>
that's why it's gated behind an environment variable that calls it broken
<phagos>
CounterPillow: thanks and I suppose that makes sense according to my experience so far
<phagos>
so I guess gles is the best option for my platform?
<phagos>
Also my app supports kms/drm directly but it also supports X11/wayland as well and I've tested all 3 combinations. I'm curious what peoples' thoughts are on if one is better than the other from a general stability/performance perspective?
