ive been running gentoo exclusively now on this machine for over a year and even pushing the limits of a "sensible" gentoo rice everything works as youd expect

clang system toolchain was unexpected

ive been using it system wide for years

theres like 15 packages that dont build correctly and most of them are gnu-affiliated

11* of which 5 are glibc, gcc, gdb, binutils and binutils-libs

so they dont count
<chadmed>
in fact its kind of essential on these machines as there is a bug in gcc's cpu caps detection where it will pass assembly to the assembler that it thinks the cpu doesnt support (it does)

this issue does not exist with clang/llvm
