jannau: does the latest m1n1 source have m2 mac mini hdmi out merged in yet?
<jannau>
chadmed: no, I haven't got hdmi to work yet
<chadmed>
ah okay
<jannau>
I'm not sure if it's going to work in m1n1 with the iboot interface. I've moved on to working on the dcp driver/linux
<jannau>
that's at least something we can compare with macos traces
<chadmed>
ah so you reckon we've just lost m1n1 display out entirely on these machines? that's a bit annoying
<chadmed>
or rather we will need to bring up dcp in m1n1
<chadmed>
(at some point)

<marcan>
ugh.
<jannau>
I haven't given up on m1n1 hdmi display out completely but it seems more productive to verify first what's necessary to make it work
<marcan>
I'm still hoping it works because iBoot needs enough to bring up DP on the laptops still, and the dp2hdmi stuff is controlled via EPIC and not dcpep as far as I know
<marcan>
but yeah
<jannau>
macos 13.2 uses afk/epic version 4 instead of 3 and I switched m1n1's implmentation to that. I haven't verified if that require changes in the dcp iboot interface
<marcan>
the iboot interface is a bit special, but iboot itself also uses AFK/EPIC
<jannau>
I haven't yet checked if my WIP tree works on the m1 mini with the 13.2 fw. I might broke the iboot interface

<jannau>
no, dcp iboot still works on the m1 mini with my wip branch
