11:01 <chadmed> but without a machine in front of me i cant say for certain. i trust marcans judgement more than $random_user's but oversaturation/clipping on those machines was a pretty common theme in most of the asahi-audio issues so idk

11:03 <chadmed> we also got an interesting issue re a set of external speakers driven from the jack clipping at ~70% volume where they dont clip at all under macos. i had a look at the codec datasheets again and couldnt find any configurable power settings for the DAC beyond the DVC
