@all Regarding my install problems (pink flash ESp etc.). Problem resolved. I did a factory reset and the install is functioning from BOTH macos command line AND 1TR. Thank you all for the assistance.

I don't quitre understand what the issue is. kwin uses explicit sync and timing wisethe swaps look good but they takes occasionally more than 1/60 ms

I had to manually disable autosuspend after I have found that usbcore.autosuspend=-1 in cmdline didnt help.

jannau, fooxi: ISTR some discussion upstream about this in kwin when we originally ran into this. there was talk of reverting the swap timing changes, but then it was decided that this neded to be fixed "properly", whatever that means///

i still have a patch in /etc/portage/ patches/ that modifies the timing to fix it, but not sure if we can or even should gun for that to be included in f40
