thaller: I'm not 100% sure anymore what happens to unused images, gitlab at some point added autoremoval (which I think is now enabled by default, but I don't think old project got switched over)
<whot>
thaller: and a while back, *having* the images was effectively free, but *using* them was not. so tons of images never used didn't hurt us
<whot>
thaller: beyond that, bentiss knows everything, or a reasonable subset thereof :)
<whot>
thaller: ci-template created images should be tagged with a few extra bits of info, but bentiss knows how those tags are actually used
<thaller>
whot, hi. Thanks. My immmediate question is: (1) "can I then drop all the cleanup-stuff from our gitlab-ci.yaml?". (2) can I then not worry about cleanup and all is fine? Both seems so, doesn't it? I would welcome enabling the cleanup-policy for NetworkManager as don't care for the old images
<whot>
thaller: (1) yes, because most projects don't do it anyway so you're in good company :)
<whot>
thaller: that that also implies (2) not worrying about it
<thaller>
cool, thank you :)
<thaller>
if that ever becomes an issue with NetworkManager project, please reach out (anybody).
