<mupuf> bentiss: crossing fingers :)
<bentiss> mupuf: it's gone now :)
<mupuf> Bye bye, Harbor!
<bentiss> I still have one or 2 users of harbor.fd.o/fdo/ci-templates as I must have had it written in the templates at some point, but I put a new ingress for it pointing at the main registry, so we should be safe
<mupuf> How many machines do we still have in the old cluster?
<mupuf> Right, that's to be expected. Heck, our farms still have a caching proxy to it. I'll remove it
<bentiss> mupuf: still 6 machines oin the old cluster, and coincidentally, equinix pinged me yesterday about them
<bentiss> just after I migrated the last services :)
<mupuf> Ha ha, great timing!

<bentiss> it's with a little bit of sadness that I announce that I am releasing the machines from the old cluster except for one. Let's hope it won't backfire
<mupuf> bentiss: let's cross fingers, but the new cluster has been feeling fine AFAICT
<mupuf> is the last machine the one that has the ocntrol plane?
<bentiss> mupuf: I've killed the cluster and kept only one machine with an haproxy to do a simple redirect for the DNS entries that haven't been updated
<mupuf> I see
<bentiss> but I need the machine to be in that datacenter so I can use the elastic IP
<mupuf> :)
<mupuf> so, another 48h and bye bye?
<bentiss> well, last time networkmanagerdev took its time to be migrated. Thanks heavy Red Hat processes for that
<bentiss> but yeah, should be better for equinix in the end

<bentiss> Alright, old cluster is gone and equinix notified. That was a way more heavy migration than expected. But we now have IPv6 :) (and a better cluster IMO)
<karolherbst> nice
<karolherbst> btw.. could that have impacted CI runners doing gitlab pages stuff? I have a job here waiting for 16 minutes already
<karolherbst> nvm.. it started now
<bentiss> yeah, over the past weeks I also found out that gitlab probably changed the way it distributes jobs, and that when a pipeline starts, it gets all of the available slots. Meaning that when someone has 10 jobs of 20 minutes, no other pipeline can pass during those 20 minutes

<karolherbst> bentiss, whot, daniels: do you know if there is some funky redirection stuff set up on the nouveau wiki? I know that _something_ redirects from wiki/ to / but there is more funky stuff going on like https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames.html/
<karolherbst> and the slash at the end just makes it mess up
<karolherbst> https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames/ gets the browser to open index.html if it exists, but if not (as I want to use _redirects for it) it behaves the same as CodeNames.html/
AbleBacon has joined #freedesktop
<bentiss> it would be nice if we could add those redirects directly in pages, so we don't have to have them on nginx
<bentiss> so... thanks in advance!
a-l-e has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<karolherbst> bentiss: is the `default "";` causing that weird behavior with `.../` links?
<karolherbst> but yeah.. I can do the wiki thing as well
<karolherbst> bentiss: so yeah.. I think I'd like to get rid of the default thing first and make sure it all works, adding the wiki redirects is like one line
<karolherbst> so yeah... maybe remove the entire thing for now and I'll make it work
<karolherbst> as _redirects does work, I'm just fighting with that rule
<karolherbst> bentiss: anwyay, should I jsut make an MR against the help repo or will you do it? I don't mind if the links are messed up for a few hours though
<karolherbst> anyway, I think I've migrated them correctly in https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/nouveau/wiki/-/merge_requests/40 just need to try it out
<bentiss> karolherbst: give me a minute (was having dinner)
<karolherbst> cool, thanks
privacy has joined #freedesktop
<bentiss> karolherbst: please test now. not sure if nginx pulled the new config or not, if not I need to restart it
<bentiss> well, doing the tollout restart now
<karolherbst> okay, merged my MR
<bentiss> seems to be working no?
<karolherbst> mhh.. same as before
<karolherbst> so not sure if nginx is updated
<bentiss> only one is restarting, 2 to go
<bentiss> but I checked on one of the not restarted ones, and the nouveau redirect disappeared from the config
<karolherbst> okay
<karolherbst> one of the broken links is e.g. https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames/
<bentiss> actually, it fails at starting
<karolherbst> pain
<bentiss> so it's still on the old config
<bentiss> found the issue
<bentiss> k, so now it's restarting properly

<karolherbst> bentiss: is it already done restarting and everything
<karolherbst> ?
<karolherbst> still seeing those weird URLs to be served
<Ford_Prefect> I wonder if we can port over that theme to fd.o wiki
<bentiss> karolherbst:yes, they all restarted
<karolherbst> we can, the question is simply if we SSH those files and regenerated _everything_ or move each wiki one by one
<karolherbst> mhh
<karolherbst> bentiss: weird...
<karolherbst> bentiss: any idea who or what is serving https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames.html/ ?
<bentiss> karolherbst: anyway, AFAICT, the wiki redirection is in place, so that's "almost" like before
<karolherbst> though maybe I messed up the redirects
<bentiss> no?
<bentiss> karolherbst: it seems like the css is not served
<karolherbst> the file doesn't exist
<karolherbst> or rather
<karolherbst> the path doesn't
<karolherbst> if you remove the "/" at the end, then you get the real thing
<bentiss> but itś the same content than without the terminating /
<karolherbst> yeah
<karolherbst> but CodeNames.html/ is in fact CodeNames.html/index.html
<karolherbst> I think...
<karolherbst> maybe it isn't...
<karolherbst> this also happens at https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames/
<bentiss> and there is a link for feature matrix that redirects to https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames.html/FeatureMatrix.html so it's as if we are just one relative repo above of what we should be
<karolherbst> bentiss: yeah.. my point is... those paths don't exist
<karolherbst> but something is serving them
<bentiss> does it matters?
<bentiss> i.e. do you have links to those paths?
<bentiss> to me, https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/ seems pretty good, with the links working properly
<bentiss> so I wouldn't bother
<karolherbst> no, but other pages _might_, but it's probably fine
<karolherbst> I'm just wondering why this happens
<bentiss> don't know
<karolherbst> mhh
<karolherbst> some pages reference https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/CodeNames/ e.g.
<karolherbst> and that gets redirected to https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames/
<bentiss> oh...
<bentiss> well, it's too late tonight for me to work on that, sorry
<bentiss> nginx shouldn't be in the middle, so it must be on your deployment
<karolherbst> other pages also link to https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/FeatureMatrix/ mhhh
<karolherbst> (kinda cool that google can tell that stuff)
<karolherbst> yeah.. I'll play around with the redirects a bit.. it's still weird tho
<karolherbst> if I put index.html with meta-refresh redirects there, it all worked and the redirect happened
<karolherbst> but maybe it's caused by those other _redirects entry I've added.. let's see
<karolherbst> bentiss: same happens on docs.mesa3d.org: https://docs.mesa3d.org/relnotes.html/
<karolherbst> also.. did you remove that "defaults" entry?
<karolherbst> I wouldn't be surprised if that one causes it
<bentiss> karolherbst: I removed all of the special handling of nouveau
<karolherbst> mhhh
<karolherbst> weird
<bentiss> let me push the changes
<karolherbst> but yeah.. no idea what's causing it then... but probably nothing on my end if it also happens for mesa
<karolherbst> yeah.... looks fine I think
<karolherbst> ehhh...
<karolherbst> maybe I just fix how assets are served, because it seems like this is normal gitlab pages behavior
<karolherbst> pain
