12:10 <apritzel> I didn't encounter any issues, but TBH haven't *explicitly* checked lately if Linux sees the 4GB. It booted fine, though. I am pretty sure I saw U-Boot proper reporting 4GB, though

12:12 <apritzel> hexdump0815: if you upgrade to the latest U-Boot, you get the mainline Linux compatible DTs in $fdtcontroladdr, so don't need to fiddle with DTs anymore ;-)
