mkazantsev: I don't think so. LVDS is the only display type I don't have hardware for, and I don't know of anyone else working on D1 displays
<smaeul>
single-link LVDS should be relatively straightforward -- it should just require some changes to the TCON driver -- but there are some register changes, so it would be more than just setting the .supports_lvds quirk
<smaeul>
dual-link LVDS would be much more work, since you would need to add code to switch the DPHY/"combo PHY" to LVDS mode and configure it

Why can an gpio-leds get into devices_deferred? In DTS it's defined like gpios = <&pio 4 19 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; /* PE19 */

DarkNeutrino: have you had already a look into opp tables and temp control on h616? I started with thermal sensor and sid driver.
<DarkNeutrino>
I didnt yet. Got stuck in bed. Cought the cold.
<DarkNeutrino>
But i have ssh to deaktop that has the board connected so i can flash stuff and etc. So if you need it tested here as well i can take a look.

<apritzel>
It would be much appreciated if someone could look at the H616 OPP tables. I think the values are floating around somewhere (Armbian? BSP?), just someone needs to consolidate and post them
<jernej>
enabling and testing H6 GPU OPP would also be nice :)
<jernej>
apritzel: I'll test your patch soon
<jernej>
btw, gerrit feels clunkier than ML reviews
<jernej>
apritzel: patch works nicely
<apritzel>
jernej: don't get me started about gerrit ;-) I didn't really want to expose you to that, but I figure you can extract the patch from there anyway ...
<DarkNeutrino>
Grrrr gerrit
<DarkNeutrino>
jernej: any board on cheap that has H6 ?
<jernej>
it seems that OrangePi 3 LTS is popular nowadays
<DarkNeutrino>
Gotcha.
<jernej>
but it doesn't have upstream DT yet. I have one, but I'm working on quirks, mainly ethernet and pmic.
<jernej>
and Tanix TX6 box or clones are evergreen
<DarkNeutrino>
Tx6 is 616 no ?
<jernej>
TX6s is H616, TX6 and TX6 mini are H6
<jernej>
simple :)
<DarkNeutrino>
Tiny bit confusing ahah
<apritzel>
they are a few TV boxes that have the same name and use different SoCs :-(
<apritzel>
DarkNeutrino: take Aliexpress descriptions with a grain of salt, they are often wrong. If they mention the Mali GPU explicitly, that's the most telling fact
<apritzel>
as in: if it says Mali G31, it's a H616, If it says Mali 450, then you don't know anything ;-)
<sepf>
DarkNeutrino: Get well soon! I will tell you when i have something that is worth a reviewing and testing.
<DarkNeutrino>
Even better. Orange pi 3 lts seems like the safest bet
