Is it possible to specify that a package shouldn't auto start after install or being built into a firmware and get flashed?

any idea why github bot complains about missing signoff in the commit message, even though there is one?
<raenye>
hexa-: these were created by syncing the branch
<raenye>
not a good idea?
<hexa->
should probably rebase to sync, not create merge commits
<raenye>
I just clicked "sync" in github

should I just revert the merge commits and then leave the branch not up-to-date?
<raenye>
am I expected to rebase every time master changes?

<hexa->
you usually don't need to sync unless you get conflicting changes
<PaulFertser>
raenye: rebasing is needed if your code can't be cherry-picked anymore. In any case your branch should be just one commit on top of some commit present in upstream master.
<PaulFertser>
And if that single commit can't be cherry-picked on current master tip, then you need to rebase it. If not, it's ok to not rebase it. Merging shouldn't be used in any case.
tidalf___ has joined #openwrt-devel
<PaulFertser>
raenye: reverting shouldn't be needed too. "git rebase -i" to rewrite the history if you need, and when offering something upstream you're supposed to provide a clean history.
