does anyone with a laptop have free disk space to test the current noble installer? we got a report that audio doesn't work out of the bug but I can't test that on my m1 mini
imnyang[m] has joined #ubuntu-asahi
<imnyang[m]>
The sound played well on my M1 Macbook Air for testing the other day.

imnyang[m]: thank you! good to know 🙂

Sound isn’t working on the 6.8.0-1012 version in the ~test PPA. But the -1011 version should still be fine.
<john-cabaj[m]>
I didn’t copy to release.
<tobhe[m]>
it works on my m2 air but that is a pretty old installation. I was worried it might be an issue in the installer
<tobhe[m]>
hm another audio bug report
<john-cabaj[m]>
I haven’t had a chance to check the kernel versions. Would be strange if it was 1011, though.
<john-cabaj[m]>
1011 and 1010 should be the same, just a different name.
<tobhe[m]>
I didn't build a new image
<tobhe[m]>
but the bug reports are also super low quality so I have no idea whether they updated packages or not
<tobhe[m]>
or which hardware is affected
<tobhe[m]>
would be nice if we could get a list of packages installed
<tobhe[m]>
maybe we should configure github to tell people what info to include

zfs upstream has a template you need to follow for issues - https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues. We could try something like that.
