<mon_aaraj> Hey, I know this question most likely got asked everywhere, but - I'm not using GNOME or KDE, just a normal compositor like River, but I doubt I'll stay in it for a while. I'll probably use something like hikari in the future or really anything a bit closer to BSPWM. Either way, is there something like xcape/setxkbmap for Wayland? All I really got from search results were caps2ctrl
<mon_aaraj> (I believe I forgot it's name) which only mapped capslock to ctrl/escape or such, which doesn't really do what I want, which is just map capslock to escape/mod, the menu button to mod, and add in some things like mod+space switches to the next language, and scrollock being the "compose key" which I'm unsure if any famous compositor uses. I really only found "solutions" for this for
<mon_aaraj> sway specifically, but I don't use it mostly because I dislike i3, which sway seems to be largely based on. Thank you.
<leon-p> mon_aaraj: setting the keymap is compositor specific, so you won't find any single tool for that. For river (and other compositors as well) you can modify the xkb options by setting the XKB_DEFAULT_OPTIONS env var

<mon_aaraj> I see. Thank you so very much! I was hoping to see something that uses wlroots or something somehow, but this seems to be a nice way as well.
