<raghavgururajan>
Hello Folks!
<raghavgururajan>
I am planning to migrate from X11 to Wayland.
<raghavgururajan>
I was wondering how to start Wayland and Xwayland sessions, without using login/display manager.
<raghavgururajan>
Should I just start weston?

<dottedmag>
am I correct in reading Linux docs that plane blending in DRM is linear, and there is no option for gamma-correct blending?
<swick>
yes, blending planes assumes linear light values. it's your responsibility to provide the right data.
<swick>
there is patches from Intel adding per-plane LUTs which could be used to degamma the plane data before blending
