<agl> steev: Will you push your kernel 6.13 for the x13s to your Web site?
<steev> over the weekend sometime

<HdkR> Updated the kernel again and borked my drive again. Whatever Canonical's `make install` integration is with its grub packages are really annoying.

<albsen[m]> steev: you're lucky. there's another way I can tell the charger is too powerful. if the touchpad becomes 'slow' or 'delayed'. I'm not sure why this is but I'm able to replicate this in windows/linux with 2 different x13s (1x 32gb no sim card, 1x 16gb sim card). not a massively big deal once you know how to deal with it. still one best laptop I've owned so far - lets see how the t14s does in comparison next week.

<steev> woke up to the x13s having kernel paniced over night. only thing on the screen was the htc rx stuff
<steev> noisycoil[m]: btw, would you mind submitting a merge request? i meant to ask earlier this week
chrisl has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<noisycoil[m]> steev: Sure, but I'd wait until the bananas stuff stabilizes. Right now the asahi script depends on my own debian repositories, but that will change soon as yesterday we've set up one managed by people in the bananas team
<noisycoil[m]> It needs some more testing
<noisycoil[m]> Oh wait
<noisycoil[m]> The kernel is not there, as it includes the kali patches
<steev> noisycoil[m]: or the 2 improvements that come before (i suppose i could just cherry pick them but i want to make it easier on you)
<noisycoil[m]> It would still be in my own repos
<noisycoil[m]> Or would you take up maintenance?
<steev> of the kernel, no :(
<noisycoil[m]> Unfortunately as I said before I have no time left to maintain another distro :-(
<steev> well actually, it depends on how many patches y'all apply on top of debian
<noisycoil[m]> Two IIRC
<noisycoil[m]> Oh wait
<noisycoil[m]> Two on top of the linux-asahi package
<noisycoil[m]> On top of the debian package it's around 1200 :-)
<steev> erk lol
<noisycoil[m]> Yeah XD
<steev> i think i still want to pull in your improvements though, prior to the asahi script itself
<noisycoil[m]> No problem, I'll send a MR
<steev> <3
<noisycoil[m]> I'll have to delete and recreate the repo first though, because it's not a fork -.-
<noisycoil[m]> If anyone comes forward to maintain the two kali patches that must be applied on top of the asahi/bananas kernel feel free to ping me and I'll explain everything
<steev> are those just the wifi patches we have?

<craftyguy> maz: nice! no tricks required (like slbounce) for that to work?
<kuruczgy[m]> craftyguy: AFAIK on AS m1n1 handles everything related to booting. slbounce is very qualcomm specific.
<robclark> hmm, nice looks like purwa (8 core x1) patches on list
<craftyguy> ya I didn't think you'd use slbounce on the apple stuff, what I really meant to ask was "does it require any weird hacks or does it pretty much Just Work?"
