_jannau_: yeah, we could use GitHub PRs but it doesn't actually work to merge them if it's a rebase... but maybe that's okay?

so use it as tracker and resolve manually. that should work most of the time. little annoying that it becomes 2 PRs when device tree changes are necessary but still an improvement
