<marcan> bgb: are you using a cable, or using a connector directly on the mac?
<marcan> if the latter, did you connect both CC lines? if so, that's wrong, connect only one
<bgb> marcan: I'm using a cable, I think maybe I miss pull-up/pull-down of cc pins

<marcan> bgb: the pulls are internal
<marcan> bgb: are you using a 5V arduino and did you wire VBUS properly?
<bgb> marcan: arduino UNO, VBUS connected with Arduino D4
<bgb> marcan: you mean fusb302 pulls cc pins internally
<bgb> ?
<marcan> bgb: yes
<marcan> bgb: you're using a male-male type C cable?
<marcan> cc1=1 cc2=1 is usually a sign that both CC pins are connected through, which means no standard cable in use and both pins incorrectly connected through to the mac
<marcan> either that or there's a short somewhere and both pins are connected together for some reason

<bgb> marcan: I made a fusb302 breakout board with connector(female), cc1 and cc2 connected, the board and mini are connected via thunderbolt cable
<marcan> bgb: measure the voltage on both CCx pins with a multimeter
<bgb> marcan: there isn't a multimeter around, I'll check later
<marcan> you might also want to try a non-thunderbolt cable
<marcan> I'm not sure if anyone has ever tried an active cable like that
<marcan> in theory it should work, but you know
<bgb> ok
<sven> i just love how anything usb just gets more and more cursed with each revision :/
<bgb> btw, I soldered the little fusb302 manually, and maybe already broken
<marcan> you might also just have a short between the CCx pins :-)

<bgb_> marcan: cc not short; before plug cc1 = cc2 = 3.3V ; after plug cc1 = 0.08v cc2 = 0.06v
bgb_ has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<marcan> bgb: those numbers are too low. 0.06 is nominal for vconn, but 0.08 is way too low for CC
<marcan> it should be more like 1V
<marcan> or at least >0.2V or so
<marcan> the code configures the threshold at 0.2V
<marcan> the spec says 0.25V - 1.60V is the valid range for vRd (CC line)
<marcan> try a different cable? maybe something is strange...
<marcan> also try flipping the cable on the FUSB side. the voltage should at least swap cleanly, if they don't then something is weird/asymmetric in your board/FUSB
