copying from -dev: If anyone has an 8-core Pro/Max, I'd appreciate an ADT dump (in m1n1/proxyclient: `python -m m1n1.adt -r adt.bin > adt.txt` and note that it might contain your wifi password; remove the huge `nvram-proxy-data` line if you want to get rid of that)
<marcan>
ah, for starters, I think there's a bug in the CPU iterator in m1n1, heh
<marcan>
just pushed a fix for that which *may* make things work, but it's probably not fully correct either way, so I still want an ADT :)

Hello. So, let's say I would want to contribute somehow to the project. What is there to do? How do you suggest I get started? I saw the page here: https://github.com/AsahiLinux/docs/wiki/Tasks is there anywhere _speciffic_ you suggest noobies start?
<HardWall>
I personally am quite handy with C, (low level embedded background) but lack knowledge in linux and the boot up system it has. Would love to poke around and understand how GPU's work and would like to get to know more about the boot process.

HardWall: the developer quickstart on the wiki is a pretty good starting point, differences across hardware configurations+power management seems to be one of the spots where having people just testing things and returning good bug reporting would help
<HardWall>
So, I am following the quickstart right now. I resized the partitions and at the end the partition LR is 213 GB large. Is that normal?
<HardWall>
@squags - thanks for the hint. Will currently try following through as far as I can.
<sven>
fwiw, there's an installer now and that guide is likely a bit outdated
<HardWall>
Ah.
<HardWall>
Oh, well, going through it anyway.
<sven>
yeah, it'll still work fine :)
<HardWall>
In for a penny, in for a pound
<HardWall>
Found the installer, it seems to say "This isn't even remotely ready yet."
<HardWall>
Hah!
<sven>
yeah, it's not ready for end users
<HardWall>
What about really masochist ones? :)) Any guid how that should be used anywhere?

SO, I'm back and now I have the m1n1 bootloader running. So, yay! :) Kind of cool.
