<mps>
bgb: PKGBUILD is build shell script for Arch Linux
<_jannau_>
bgb: arch linux' makepkg uses it to build package tarballs
<mps>
I simply rewrote it to APKBUILD (build script for alpine linux) and run build tool, it downloads source of linux kernel, unpack it, apply patch/es and run 'make'
<bgb>
mps, jannau: got it, thanks
<bgb>
i have no experience of Arch. so, does makepkg also support crosscompile on x86 host?
<mps>
bgb: long ago I used PKGBUILD as receipes for building kernels for chromebooks (and some other arm boxes) on debian with cross-build tools
<mps>
it is not much complicated if you follow PKBUILD and install and set cross build on debian, and probably other distros
