just created an account on gitlab, but the verification mail does not come through, it's been ~20 minutes

something is borked. followed the verify link, logged in, says it is already verified. but then a normal login fails and says account is still locked due to pending verification

can't login with github either since it uses the same email, so it fails with 'user already taken'...

with a google captcha on every login attempt, this whole gitlab sign up process is really frustating
