I wish ci pipelines had cancel buttons over entire categories
<zmike>
so tedious to manually cancel hundreds of jobs
Kayden has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<jenatali>
There is the cancel all button?
<zmike>
yeah but I wanna run some jobs

<DavidHeidelberg[m]>
zmike: use ci_run_n_monitor.py from mesa/mesa and specify regex for what you want to keep running. It'll stop everything else
<elibrokeit>
scripting is generally the way to go here, yeah
<elibrokeit>
just feel grateful that gitlab > github and *has* a cancel all button
<zmike>
DavidHeidelberg[m]: 🤔
<DavidHeidelberg[m]>
We use that for testing specific jobs to avoid running everything

zmike: doesn't look related; I think the problem is that the pipeline was triggered by you, not by Marge -> let her rebase or add the Part-of: tag
<daniels>
yeah, exactly

bentiss: Hey! I'm looking at reports from CI and wonder, did you managed to fix most of these of http 50x errors, or is the situation similar on GL CI level and it's curl retrying making it smooth for now?
<bentiss>
DavidHeidelberg[m]: I think the reboot from last week helped a lot
<DavidHeidelberg[m]>
One one hand, I'm happy, on other hand I cannot validate how much error handling on Mesa side helped :D
<DavidHeidelberg[m]>
Anyway, it's still reasonable to have it handled in future when FDO gets overloaded or something, so I can be happy about it.
<bentiss>
DavidHeidelberg[m]: yeah, sure. But that's also a good metric to force us to reboot all servers :)
<bentiss>
(admittely we should probably reboot one server per week)
<zmike>
MrCooper: I gave marge 2 chances to do that and it did absolutely nothing, so I started the pipeline myself
<zmike>
not sure what the expected course of action is in that scenario
phasta has joined #freedesktop
<MrCooper>
zmike: 2 chances to do what? The problem was that you pushed a commit with Part-of: in the commit log, so the MR pipeline was triggered by you, which doesn't work for Marge
<zmike>
so having part-of in the log breaks things?
<MrCooper>
it can, yeah
<zmike>
ok so then I'll remember to delete that in the future
<MrCooper>
👍
<MrCooper>
alternatively, make sure the MR branch doesn't have all commits from the target branch, so Marge needs to rebase first
