karolherbst: problem is the domain denylist isn't accessible via API (afaik) so we can't easily automate this. We should have a git-based deny list (for backup) that we can copy/paste into the gitlab config but also read for the auto-purge

I thought one of the reasons we stuck to the free edition and turned down their offer of a free enterprise license was to avoid headaches if something like this happened and they stopped giving it to us for free
