Quick question is there is someone still awake: Can you set the dram frequency (still A20/sun7i) in the dtb?

you cannot. DRAM init happens before the DTB is loaded. you could change the frequency later (say, with a devfreq driver), but no such driver exists for A20 as far as I'm aware

with some other recent boards it's the ATF which raises dram frequencies during boot

while testing, i had seen DDR3 data-rate as low as 1.6GiB/s, due to some mis-configuration on the side of ATF, now it's >5.2GiB/s, not bad for a cortex a53

currently testing something else, an algorithm (for rng/ciphering), which i implemented both with 64bit datatypes, and now 32bit datatypes
