<smaeul> D1-H BSP v2.0 (dated Feb 11 2022) is published, and provides some interesting insight into AW's roadmap. sun8iw21 uses a T-HEAD E907 core for CPUS instead of an AR100 or xtensa DSP.
<smaeul> and there's a "sun55iw3p1" which contains lots of changes, such as finally updating to GICv3 (GIC600
<smaeul> they've started autogenerating MMIO and CCU register macros from somewhere, so we can see that this new chip has PCIe again, USB3, two combo-PHYs, two GMACs, two MIPI-DSI controllers, eDP, XIP for SPI flash, ...
<smaeul> still only one CPU cluster, though
<smaeul> taking a wild guess here, I'm thinking "sun55" implies it has cortex A55's... so it looks like it's trying to compete with rk3568
<swiftgeek> smaeul: is PCIe going to work properly this time?
<swiftgeek> (or is there some allwinner SoC already that does work properly unlike H6?)
<gamiee> jernej: which patches are you using? I used the ones from smaeul's patch/h3-scp , but they didn't worked
<jernej> gamiee: you can find them in LE build system
<jernej> last one has to be separated, otherwise it breaks boot on R40
<jernej> and probably others 32-bit soc without arisc
<gamiee> jernej: thanks, will try them in few mins or tomorrow. The current patches which are working for me is from LE too (but for v.2021.10)
<swiftgeek> i'm so desperate for a stable/(community) supported platform i feel like connecting PCIe switch to that single lane PCIe from SoC, and just connect everything over that switch (like faster wifi, sata controller, and some other expansion slots) xD
