<KREYREN_oftc> https://dpaste.org/d5i8p/raw failing with
<KREYREN_oftc> oh the matrix bridge is not working
<KREYREN_oftc> it seems that the 6.7.2 kernel has broken display for OLIMEX Teres-I
<KREYREN_oftc> advice plz
<KREYREN_oftc> c44ec974b4d15fcf426770f1f3a91a3f09a41594
<KREYREN_oftc> it seems that google is messing with the ANX drivers maybe they introduced a regression somewhere?

<diego71> KREYREN_oftc: I had the same errore starting around kernel 6.5. So I don't think that patch is related

<apritzel> libv: so there are two places in the F building with seating, one flight of stairs up from the food trucks: to the left "Chez Theo"/Mother, and to the right something Earthing.
<apritzel> not sure how busy they are in the late afternoon, maybe we decide it on the spot?
<apritzel> KREYREN: is that supposed to be a kernel commit ID? Cannot find that in mainline...

<KREYREN_oftc> apritzel, yep kernel commit ID in the 6.7.3 where google is making changes to the ANX7XXX though that maybe they changed something in the ANX6345 as well
<KREYREN_oftc> i guess i file that to the mailing lists? Bcs i don't know how to diagnose it

<KREYREN_oftc> megi, can you provide context on the kernel thermal zone management since 6.5+ ? You seem to be working on fixes for these?
<KREYREN_oftc> and the DTB seems to have the thermal zones declared which are said to fix the overheating issue: https://github.com/sailfish-on-dontbeevil/kernel-megi/blob/pinephone-libcamera/arch/arm64/boot/dts/allwinner/sun50i-a64.dtsi#L268

<hexdump0815> looks like some t527 hardware is on its way: https://twitter.com/SipeedIO/status/1753792785998873063 :)
<megi> dunno if core was fixed to not require trips node anymore again
<megi> trips node became required at some point, without making sure all DTs have those, which caused thermal zone probe failures on many boards for several kernel releases
<megi> without that there was no regulation
<KREYREN_oftc> megi, thanks that's probably the issue and solution i will test it., though the kernel is also complaining about the thermal sensor for 1c25000, see https://paste.debian.net/1303410/ line 625 shouldn't a trip zone be declared for that as well?
* KREYREN_oftc originally wanted to submit a patch alike https://dpaste.com/24D4JWGPX.txt
<megi> yes, thermal sensor registers the thermal zones
<megi> so if thermal zone registration fails, thermal sensor doesn't work either
<megi> you can test it by trying to read temperature of CPU from sysfs
<megi> 6.7.0... hmm so I guess this is still an issue
<KREYREN_oftc> 6.7.2 tested actually.. it also seems to have broken ANX6345 as the display no longer works
<KREYREN_oftc> megi,
<KREYREN_oftc> megi, are you in position to submit the DTB changes to mainline linux? or can someone from sunxi do it?
