apritzel, yep kernel commit ID in the 6.7.3 where google is making changes to the ANX7XXX though that maybe they changed something in the ANX6345 as well

megi, can you provide context on the kernel thermal zone management since 6.5+ ? You seem to be working on fixes for these?

dunno if core was fixed to not require trips node anymore again

trips node became required at some point, without making sure all DTs have those, which caused thermal zone probe failures on many boards for several kernel releases

without that there was no regulation

megi, thanks that's probably the issue and solution i will test it., though the kernel is also complaining about the thermal sensor for 1c25000, see https://paste.debian.net/1303410/ line 625 shouldn't a trip zone be declared for that as well?
