<dhewg> blocktrron: I stumpled upon https://github.com/blocktrron/gluon/commit/3a8a41f83e19467a34b293fd26fc0357a4be48d1 from the referenced issue. It sounds like it fixes the issue, is that suitable to get merged for openwrt?

<robimarko> blocktrron: I see that you worked on the FritzRepeater 1200
<robimarko> I am looking to get a RGMII based IPQ40xx device as I dont have any of them
<robimarko> Does it have UART exposed?
<blocktrron> robimarko: https://i.imgur.com/fvmeVTE.jpg
<blocktrron> I'd rather try to get a Aruba AP11, they only cost ~20 euros more and have uart signals on a micro-b port
<rsalvaterra> lipnitsk: ^
<blocktrron> dhewg: depends, we only experienced issues on mt7615 and the person who wanted this patch never followed up (The version you linked is the second iteration i have no feedback on)
<blocktrron> That being said, I'm not all to much into mesh @ mac80211, so I can't tell if it causes any regressions for other drivers / chips
<robimarko> blocktrron: Thanks for the advice, I wasnt even aware that one existed, I will check the availability
<dhewg> blocktrron: hm ok, coz I'm carrying that hack patch linked to from the issue for months now. Something upstream, even just a workaround, would be better than everyone affected carrying their hacks locally (or even dismissing mesh on that device due to the issue)
<dhewg> but I too can't judge if that patch break anything elsewhere

<dhewg> nbd: "nat" isn't exposed via config/set by the init script, intentional?
<nbd> not intentional
<dhewg> ok ;)
<dhewg> and the readme has "adding a + ... if it is non-zero", is the "non" part correct?

<dhewg> s/con/can/ while at it ;)
<nbd> done
<dhewg> np, just trying to understand how it works a little ;)
<nbd> i plan on adding an ubus hook to dnsmasq soon, along with qosify support for using it
<nbd> so you can add dns hostname regex to the classifier files
<dhewg> I think a reference to `man tc-cake` or a link to a site containing it would help

<stintel> that Raspberry Pi Zero 2 is a disaster
<stintel> nvram is nowhere to be found, firmware is a test firmware from > 1y ago, and stuff hangs nastily when trying to bring it up
<stintel> well, bring it up, not with ip link but as in bringt it up in the air
<stintel> I can bring up the interface and scan works too
<Habbie> i understand raspberrypios isn't even ready for it, unless you grab a few files from github
<stintel> typical
<stintel> anyway, the brcmfmac43436-sdio.bin is definitely the right firmware
<stintel> there is an s variant but using that does not result in a wireless interface
<stintel> looks like it doesn't like setting distance to 0 or txpower to auto
<stintel> oh, not even iw phy phy0 set txpower fixed 2000
<stintel> it hangs on that also

<xdarklight> rmilecki: (DISCLAIMER: compile-tested only, I've not had the time to runtime test this on MT7621 - so use at your own risk!) https://github.com/xdarklight/linux/tree/mt7621-nand-20211031
<mangix> Thought it was not possible to add mt7621 NAND support upstream. Something about breaking existing users.
<aparcar[m]> jow: can you review my fun perl script PR?
<xdarklight> mangix: with per-SoC compatible strings it's possible. the main question is how much "common" code we end up with in the end. without having my changes tested it's looking manageable though
