dhewg: depends, we only experienced issues on mt7615 and the person who wanted this patch never followed up (The version you linked is the second iteration i have no feedback on)
<blocktrron>
That being said, I'm not all to much into mesh @ mac80211, so I can't tell if it causes any regressions for other drivers / chips
<robimarko>
blocktrron: Thanks for the advice, I wasnt even aware that one existed, I will check the availability
<dhewg>
blocktrron: hm ok, coz I'm carrying that hack patch linked to from the issue for months now. Something upstream, even just a workaround, would be better than everyone affected carrying their hacks locally (or even dismissing mesh on that device due to the issue)
<dhewg>
but I too can't judge if that patch break anything elsewhere

But yeah, this seems to be the current price
<robimarko>
Well, the current prices for everything are kind of insane

hi, i`m quite new here and i would like to start contributting :) does anyone have some recommendations like some patches that would be nice to start with?
<mangix>
rsalvaterra: AFAIK it’s some kind of pointer reassignment bug. No idea how it would even be debugged..

mangix: I think there are new ath79 devices that could use a bit of DSA love, on current master. I happened to rebase a while ago and had conflicts to solve. :)

Thought it was not possible to add mt7621 NAND support upstream. Something about breaking existing users.
<aparcar[m]>
jow: can you review my fun perl script PR?
<xdarklight>
mangix: with per-SoC compatible strings it's possible. the main question is how much "common" code we end up with in the end. without having my changes tested it's looking manageable though
