<Mangix> Ansuel: does https://gist.github.com/neheb/f483f22a36ed659b8e022c94758b79c1 tell you anything? No traffic and malfunctioning LEDs
<Mangix> ip link set lan1 type dsa conduit eth0
<Mangix> ip: either "dev" is duplicate, or "type" is garbage
<Mangix> hmmmmmmmmmm
<Ansuel> malfunctioning led what do you mean?
<Mangix> wait a minute...there's no eth0 in ifconfig...
<Mangix> Ansuel: starts and does not stop blinking on ping
<Mangix> even after stopped
<Ansuel> anyway can you try add this patch?
<Mangix> oh big endian...lovely
<Mangix> Ansuel: incredible. that patch fixed it
<Ansuel> yep
<dwfreed> the DSA conduit approach seems nice
<Mangix> LED works properly too
<Ansuel> you were actually not writing anything to the regs LOL
<Mangix> blinks at the right moment now
<Mangix> instead of still and then constant blink on traffic
<Ansuel> i will backport that patch asap
<Mangix> please do
<Ansuel> Mangix yes cause you were using sw fallback i think (no idea how it was working but eh)
<Mangix> oh I need ip tiny
<Ansuel> yes
<Mangix> no wonder it wasn't working
<Slimey> someone stopped up sink drain in biolab and left water running all night/morning
<Mangix> Slimey: somewhat related: was it GCFI protected?
<Slimey> heh what do you mean the AP?
<Slimey> or the poe switch
<Mangix> probably the AP
<Mangix> although I doubt GFCI would save that
<Slimey> its powered PoE
<Slimey> water shorted out inside the ap and killed it
<dwfreed> how was the AP in a position water could reach?
<Ansuel> i see another victim in the background
<Slimey> someone stopped up sink drain in biolab and left water running all night/morning on the 4th floor of the building
<Slimey> so it ran downward
<dwfreed> ah, this was an AP below that floor
<dwfreed> the lab probably should have had a floor drain, though
<Slimey> yeah got two with tha tone :(
<Slimey> i dunno it was sealed off for some reason but it should
<Mangix> I tripped breakers while installing GFCI recently. I'm familiar with those marks :)
<Mangix> Ansuel: you sure https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/c707cff6c94bfe3b5ec530f8496e91f763899172 is correct? I see dts specifying two LEDs per port but configuring as 3 per port.
<Ansuel> mangix nice catch will fix!
<Mangix> I was quite confused looking at it. Seems like copy/paste errror
Daanct12 has joined #openwrt-devel
<Mangix> alright. I'm quite satisfied with the change as is. Time to port more devices.
<Mangix> Ansuel: potential quality of life improvement: turn off all LEDs when running poweroff (or halt).
<Mangix> on this archer, after running poweroff the LED is active.

<Mangix> something tells me I should be doing these conversions in reverse order to keep the diff smaller
<slh> Mangix: hey, thanks - I'll start a build now (testing probably tomorrow (ÉU-) evening)
<Mangix> slh: just updated my tree
<Mangix> fixed LED device name
<slh> o.k. (updating)
<Mangix> oh nvm it won't work
<Mangix> updated...again
<slh> o.k., thanks
<Mangix> oh uhhh
<Mangix> build with kernel 5.1
<Mangix> *6.1
<slh> I would have done that anyways ;)
<Mangix> yeah I only placed the big endian bugfix in the 6.1 directory

<iocampomx> FYI. Regarding the MT7628N / rt3050-esw device, it's finally working. It turns out that the MT7628N chipset has a virtual port #6 directly connected to the CPU, that I had to map to the switch in the /etc/config/networking file.

<Mangix> Ansuel: https://gist.github.com/neheb/4f14097ba5502eac16fd51f4130d6306 <-- so apparently in 2300 seconds, no more traffic across the switch on all ports EXCEPT lan2. That's the only one that can pass traffic.
<Mangix> and also show Link is Up. The others are non functional except for the LEDs, which function properly.

<Mangix> slh: great. how about LEDs?
<slh> Mangix: the front LEDs (LAN1-4/ WAN) are fine (they also were fine previously), it has no port LEDs on the back - however it seems to lose network connectivity after some time
<Mangix> yes. it loses connectivity on all ports except lan2 on my device
<Mangix> slh: google image shows front LEDs. I'm curious about those and if they can be turned off
<slh> o.k., just a few minutes (I just flashed back a swconfig build to compare against, will flash the DSA one again not)

<Mangix> great. I assume they're green?
<slh> blue
<slh> rev 1.1 had blue LEDs, they changed them to green in later revisions (the blue LEDs burn out over time)
<Mangix> hrm. probably not worth handling then.
<Mangix> oh this unit is from 2012. definitely not worth handling.
