An early merge for for 6.8 would certainly be more relaxed. Is there any reason to target 6.7 specifically or do you just want it merged as soon as possible?

arnd: I would prefer 6.7, but if you prefer 6.8 then I guess it'll have to do. But I would need to change the patches because I put "KernelVersion: 6.7" into sysfs ABI documentation
