<codiflow> Hey fellow developers, I'm experiencing a really strange behaviour of OpenWRT which I described in this GitHub issue: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/17131
<codiflow> Maybe here is someone who can help me tracking this down to the cause? I'm still in the dark so far and don't know if I should look for configuration issues on my network or if this looks like a bug on OpenWRT side. Every single hint is appreciated 🙏
<KanjiMonster> *OpenWrt (scnr). In your ticket you wrote you use 23.05.4; did you already try if 23.05.5 behaves the same? or maybe 24.10-rc2?

<mrnuke> hurricos_: when you get a chance, can you please merge https://github.com/Hurricos/realtek-poe/pull/40 ?

<codiflow> @KanjiMonster: According to the devices page (https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/eap615-wall) the 23.05.4 is the current supported release. I changed the URL and just downloaded this version (https://mirror-03.infra.openwrt.org/releases/23.05.5/targets/ramips/mt7621/openwrt-23.05.5-ramips-mt7621-tplink_eap615-wall-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin). I will report back. Thanks for the hint.

<blogic> BPi sent me an email
<blogic> the would like to produce a plastic case
<blogic> ODM syays the would carry the cost for the injection mould harness
<blogic> but we need to come up with a design

<blogic> might just shot an email to owrt-devel asking for help. sure that there are many nerds around with basic Blnder skills, yet we really need some industry pro to help us out here
<blogic> apparently the alluminum casing we use right now is really expensive, plastic casing would drop the price alot

<efahl> make it look like the ancient WRT54G :)
<codiflow> @KanjiMonster Unfortunately it seems like nothing has changed after upgrading to 23.05.5 :-( If I would like to test 24.10-rc2 – is there anything I should know beforehand? Like breaking changes between 23.05 and 24.10?
n3ph has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<efahl> blogic: or at least have bpi copy some of the wrt54g's design features: stackable, and modular (replace the back panel only for, oh, I don't know, the OpenWrt Many switch)

<codiflow> @KanjiMonster: Installing 24.10-rc2 worked and the command `bridge vlan` looks different after the upgrade see my post: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/17131#issuecomment-2546825413

<codiflow> During my tests with my issue I also found something which looks like another bug in 24.10-rc2 – maybe interesting for the developers too: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/17131#issuecomment-2546934031
