<stefan-schmidt> bamse: good to know. Does the touchbar work out of the box to switch with Fn between function keys and F1-F12? I was wondering how this is connected and if it needs some extra setup.
<stefan-schmidt> bamse: What parts do you need to hack around currently?

<kalebris> how is the x1e support? phoronix says that external display, usb etc. aren't working yet, most aimed at 6.12. How is the rest of the laptop features like suspend, hibernate?
<anonymix007[m]> sibis: Is it you who posted x1e devkit dts patches on lkml?
<JensGlathe[m]> Bisect result #1: rc7 boots on the X13s too, it just takes long. Cause is some camcc config shenanigans I tried and which don't seem to work well on the x13s. It's only in my tree.
<Jasper[m]> kalebris: display and usb are working on some devices up to some point, iirc the sleep related features are similar to X13s currently
<Jasper[m]> From what I could tell from the activity here anyways

<bamse> stefan-schmidt: touchbar works fine, haven't checked if all te keys are recognized, but i know some of them are (like brightness up/down)
<stefan-schmidt> I was mostly worried if it was connected through some extra hardware or EC for the mode switching. But seems I had no need to worry about that :-)
<bamse> stefan-schmidt: the needed hack is that if i let rpmhpd invoke sync_state (i.e. lower or turn off power rails when all clients are registered) the machine turns off...i suspect this might be a undervolt on mmcx - similar to what results in a crash on flex 5g...haven't figured out why that happens only on these two
<bamse> they are connected to the same EC as the keyboard
<bamse> then the workaround, when i boot the laptop...hid events from the keyboard are read corrupted, until i punch scroll lock/unlock (on a usb keyboard)...after that the keyboard works fine
<bamse> not sure what's going on there, need to do some more debugging
<stefan-schmidt> ok, so there are still problems to figure out and fix. Good. :-)
<travmurav[m]> can you send scrollock/led event to the keyboard from userspace instead of punching it on the usb keyboard?

<wizzard> I am dreaming of having a x elite aarch64 laptop.
<wizzard> Hi, great project.
<wizzard> I have no problems building my own images and helping out the project.
<wizzard> What is the progress of aarach64/build for the t14s gen 6?
<wizzard> I see that the acpi tables have been added.
<wizzard> Does it boot? Do the graphics work?
<wizzard> Thank you
<kalebris> wizzard: I believe it boots, it still has a few features not supported: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-X1E-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-6 but it would depend on the actual device Jasper[m] earlier today told me that display and usb are working on some devices, but it's not upstreamed to the kernel yet, so it's still early life for x1e laptops on linux
<robclark> the t14s w/ oled screen is still not quite working, and 64gb config seems to have some issues w/ grub.. other configs are working better

<anonymix007[m]> travmurav: have you meant something like https://github.com/anonymix007/linux-x1e/commit/60d47c911193e2dbca48581b2c04a632cfb770a4 for that EFI stub error?
<anonymix007[m]> If yes then it just didn't work. If not then can you please show what exactly I should do?
