<sven>
I hate email. Apparently at least the nvme series went to spam on gmail for some people because for some reason dkim/spf/dmarc broke *sigh*
<sven>
hrm, or maybe it's always been broken with mailing lists? :/
<Jamie[m]1>
yep, mailing lists and SPF are pretty much mutually incompatible
<sven>
hrm, looks like b4 doesn't complain for mails sent to lists from e.g. kernel.org but it does complain about those sent from my domain. time to open a ticket with fastmail and/or figure out how to get one of those @kernel.org things otherwise :/

<milek7>
dkim might be broken if using "simple" canonicalization, because mailing list mangles some headers
<milek7>
but it should work with "c=relaxed/relaxed"
<milek7>
hm, but your messages already have "relaxed", so it should be fine
<milek7>
ah, it seems some lists (eg. linux-arm-kernel) append footer to the message content
<milek7>
yeah, that will break things
<milek7>
maybe delivery would be better if you disable dmarc enforcement (p=none in _dmarc TXT)
<sven>
I think the problem is that fastmail signs too many headers (at least "Sender" which will be changed to the list)
<sven>
marcan: do you intend to submit SMC for 5.19? if yes i'll have to look into preparing that git setup where we can merge rtkit through multiple trees. if you'll wait for the next cycle anyway I guess we can just take rtkit+sart through the nvme tree (if arnd agrees)
<sven>
I think both thunderbolt and DCP likely won't be ready for 5.19 anyway
<marcan>
sven: I'd like to try but I'm not sure if I'll get there, got a lot of catch-up...
<sven>
ok, i'll prepare that setup just in case then :-)
<j`ey>
marcan: what about spi? that's probably simpler and already had a v1
<arnd>
it might be nice to have the rtkit+sart portion of the nvme branch in the soc tree anyway, even if nvme is the only thing that needs it
<marcan>
yeah, I definitely need to send spi
<marcan>
arnd: agreed
<sven>
ok
<arnd>
marcan: do you have any other drivers/soc/ contents for 5.19? If not, I guess sven can send the subsect pull request to soc@kernel.org directly with your ack
<marcan>
that works for me too, though do you need a sig on the tag?
<sven>
I guess I can just sign that tag as well
<marcan>
(fwiw sending a pull is easy for me if it helps; seeing as I already went through the pain of working out how not to screw up the email formatting :))
<sven>
I think I have to send another pull instead of send-email to the nvme maintainers anyway to make sure the commit hashes stay the same
<marcan>
yeah
