I think jannau's CS case is actually the first image I've seen of an assembled board
<kevans91>
slightly slanted USB gives me something to be paranoid about in my own assembly... should have the rest of the parts any day now
<chadmed>
i think one of them was one of the sus ones from JLC

<jannau>
fun, tiny-dfr on fedora-asahi doesn't display anything on the touchbar. adp driver works as far as I can tell
<jannau>
it generates key events, so as far as I can tell only rendering is broken

marcan: if you're pushing 6.5 to users, make sure you cherry-pick this: 20230919171430.2697727-1-mark.rutland@arm.com
<maz>
will hopefully appear in -stable, but 6.5 is pretty much hosed otherwise.
<marcan>
got it, will be in the next merge
<marcan>
thanks

cheers

oh huh, doesnt seem to have made it into asahi-wip
<chadmed>
oh its in bits/070-audio though
<chadmed>
oh yes it is in asahi-wip wtf
<chadmed>
ctrl shift r did the trick...
<chadmed>
losing my mind here sorry
<marcan>
:)
<marcan>
any news on the pipewire stuff btw?
<marcan>
axboe: yeah I just unconditionally upped the bindgen compat, upstream is doing it for 6.6 anyway and the old bindgen is all kinds of unusable
<marcan>
I've been using 0.62 recently but now let's just jump forward
<marcan>
basically upstream have dragged their feet so much on bindgen that they've actually blown through the deprecation period for certain commandline options...
<marcan>
so there's no supporting the entire range without conditionals, which I didn't want to bother with

i actually just checked up on the status of the merge requests and theres been no progress at all. very frustrating
<chadmed>
i regret not having the time to pick up the work and learn my way around the pipewire and wireplumber codebase myself but im already hitting 13 hour days multiple days a week :/
<chadmed>
urgh and the patches dont even apply cleanly to upstream anymore
