Hello, I hope that I'm right here, I was told to mention my issue here that I have with my Asahi Linux on a Macbook Air 2020 M1 and misbehaving (not loading/crashing) apps after some kind of problems with PGPME/PGP keys and now receiving several errors also concerning the GPU. Maybe somebody could take a closer look and help me out here? I can give more detailed description of the steps undertaken and the error messages. Thanks a lot in advance!

So initially I had the following problem, running sudo pacman -Syu:

I couldn't do updates, install any software and firefox and other apps that were running fine before, kept crashing right after startup. I do not remember changing anything specific in my system, so I'm assuming these changes came with an update.

With this solution, sudo pacman -Syu was working fine again, but a lot of apps show some serious misbehavior/crashes or wouldn't start at all.

Hi, I'm using the MacBook Air (M1, 2020) with sway+wayland. Slapping my normal sway config on there (and changing the output name to "Unknown-1" as listed in swaymsg -t get_outputs"), everything works perfectly except for antialiasing. My eyes think that there's no antialiasing at all.

Okay... my bad, it's actually the scaling that's making things look weird. 1 or 2 seem to be fine, but 1.6 creates weird gaps in strokes of letters sometimes, which I don't see when I set a scale of 1.6 on my ThinkPad x220i

I am getting the same no gpu detected via PCI so it can run with that error

I use signal beta from the AUR and it works fine (just takes a long time to build). Signal desktop from the arch repo did not open for me.

frederik: how did you install asahi? default settings in the installer? were there any obvious errors or problems?

yes everything was installed with default settings, and everything was running smoothly until this PGPME error message came up.

to be honest I don't know - I thought that it might have been changed since I changed some of the date/time formats in the settings into german (I live in GER)..

jonny1996 I tried this solution and the 'sudo rm -R /var/lib/pacman/sync' command solved the PGPME error messages. But I still have misbehaving apps now as stated above.

Then I wanted to comment on the thread you posted, but confirming their terms they explicitly state, that they don't cover Arch Linux ARM and that one should ask in the ARM specific forums.

derek: there are a couple of loose ends to tie up with the daemon and how it needs to talk to the kernel driver but once thats done we should be good to go (mostly)
