alatiera: FYI, we're getting asked by our security folks to lock down the runner we added more. First step is probably to add a Powershell version of the runner-gating.sh. Assuming we're able to do that, you'll probably want to add that same config to the other Windows runners
<jenatali>
Of course I was de-authed... alatiera did you get my other message?
<alatiera>
jenatali: I did I did!
<jenatali>
Great
<alatiera>
if you port the gating script to powershell send me a link!
<jenatali>
Will do. We'll have someone looking at it hopefully today
<alatiera>
btw we have some random STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION coming up in the mesa runner here and there but I also can't reproduce them at will
<alatiera>
but we have that on every crate, and it's only failing once in 100 runs or so
<jenatali>
Oof

ooc, how much RAM does your Windows runner have jenatali?
<jenatali>
A lot. Lemme get the exact number

great, double than what ours have actually :)
<jenatali>
Yeah, I wanted to make sure we matched the 64 cores you have, and that's the memory that comes along with that in the Azure SKUs
<jenatali>
Would be a real shame if we tried to augment compute only to have things run slower when jobs get assigned to it. Looks like the Azure SKU ends up being slightly faster but overall on par to the gstreamer machines

I think it's only the Rust jobs that move the needle on the memory front

Not wanting to rub salt in a wound, but is the chronic issue with cgit.fd.o understood? It's got so much down time it doesn't make sense to complain when it starts timing out yet again.

kisak: no, but it shouldn’t be used any longer
<daniels>
it’s been deprecated for a long time - I can keep on kicking it every now and again, but at some point it will just be turned off forever

Sad. it's substantially faster and easier to review the commits that landed in mesa over the last day or so compared to gitlab.
<daniels>
I quite like tig as a CLI client
<karolherbst>
though gitlab isn't as slow as it used to be

daniels, emersion and bentiss - I just noticed that even though it looks like the ikiwiki hooks are getting triggered and running when we push new board minutes/wiki updates to x.org, it doesn't seem like any of the new generated pages are actually showing up on x.org: https://www.x.org/wiki/BoardOfDirectors/MeetingSummaries/2024/ for example
<Lyude>
I pushed that a moment ago so it should say the page was regenerated today, but it seems stuck on Jun 27th
