Another person reported they were unable to register with indico (didn't receive confirmation mail) - xclaesse[m] did you ever resolve your issue?
<__tim>
(told them to file an issue in gitlab)

__tim: it's not working with my Gmail but it worked with my company email
<__tim>
hrm, gmail not working is a bit unfortunate
<pinchartl>
time to officially drop gmail support ? the company behind it has demonstrated countless times that the product is unmaintained :-)
<kode54>
gmail has been bouncing mailing lists a lot for me lately
<kode54>
I had to switch to Migadu
<kode54>
for my mailing list needs
<xclaesse[m]>
Too big to fail
<kode54>
meanwhile I have over 400k messages archived in my gmail account
<kode54>
no intention of deleting my google account, I use it for a lot of other Google services
<kode54>
but I may consider archiving that mail elsewhere
<kode54>
(it's already downloaded and indexed locally)
<kode54>
lieer is probably the best way to mirror and index gmail locally, since it won't index redundantly for messages with multiple tags (vs the All Mail folder, too)
<pinchartl>
xclaesse[m]: I'm increasingly thinking it may not entirely be true
<xclaesse[m]>
Note that company email is a Google domain...
<pinchartl>
yet another thing to fix :-D
<xclaesse[m]>
Wondering if the issue could be when a gitlab account exists?
<xclaesse[m]>
If Gmail never works I would expect a lot more people to have complained
<daniels>
it doesn't never work, but it does frequently not work

<Ford_Prefect>
probably unrelatedly, gmail rate limits receive from your domain when it sees a sudden spike of emails -- I sent some patches to the bluez mailing list, which can explode your perceived send rate a little (not crazy, but ~5-10k recipients total per email), and as a result emails from my domain to @gmail.com got delayed by days, eventually got dropped. Returned to normal after a couple of days.

I like how quickly gitlab reacts these days :)
<karolherbst>
no.. the /git/ in the middle is the problem
<drise13>
oh!
<karolherbst>
but looks like this repo is in read-only mode anyway, maybe there is a new upstream or do you need it for legacy reasons? Anyway... this should at least fix your CI
<karolherbst>
or maybe it's just deprecated i guess
<drise13>
legacy, I haven't had the time to get the full gst build running, since my docker image is stuck at ubuntu 20.04. I didn't make much progress last time I tried building 1.20 gstreamer
<drise13>
looks like i can make the adjustment to the module path, didnt realize the /git/ needed removed
<drise13>
thanks!
