gamiee: CEC uses dedicated line, idependent from DDC (I2C)
<jernej>
in fact, at one point I tried to add CEC support to Crust, but I had no success with communication
<jernej>
but I didn't spend too much time on it
<jernej>
gamiee: what is your target board? Note that it needs dedicated 32768 Hz quartz
<jernej>
RC clock is too unreliable for CEC communication

And oh, I thought CEC is in DDC

@jernej: but I didn't found much information about the CEC, is possible that TV can send command to box via CEC? I found only that box is sending command to turn on / off the TV
<jakllsch>
(I think I²C can be multi-initiator, even if it only has a single data line)
<jernej>
gamiee: you can find CEC info in HDMI specs
<jernej>
HDMI 1.4 specs can be found easily
<gamiee>
@jernej : thanks, I will take look :)

gamiee: trick in implementing proper CEC wakeup is proper handover between Linux CEC driver and Crust
<apritzel>
jernej: isn't it more the handover back to Linux that's the problem? I mean crust can certainly just re-init CEC, but Linux wouldn't expect this?
<jernej>
apritzel: CEC peripheral is pretty simple, it shouldn't be that hard
<jernej>
but currently I'm not sure why TV doesn't react on Crust CEC messages
<jernej>
first I have to buy HDMI PCB for sniffing signals with logic analyzer
<jernej>
without it, work on this is complete guessing game
<gamiee>
@jernej : any recommendations for hdmi sniffing board?
<jernej>
no, I'm looking on ebay for now, but I can't find anything, not sure what correct keywords are

Same, I found something what breakouts the whole connector, but nothing just for sniffing, and I don't want to connect the differential pairs with some wires :D
<gamiee>
I might to make some simple pcb for that
<jernej>
maybe sparkfun has something like that...
