<warpme> guys: in anybody tried already 2024.07 uboot on h618? In my case some boards (e.g. opi zero2w) stopped booting. Interesting that other devices (vontar h618) are booting ok. On zero2w downgrade uboot from 2024.07 to 2024.04 makes zero2w booting ok. I compared uboot defconfig and .dts between .07 and .04 - and they are the same. Failing boot on 2024.07 is like this: https://gist.github.com/warpme/4469fb60a56bc602d824db71edffe801 Has
<warpme> anybody any hints here?

<loki666> warpme: I see alot of sun50i-h616-pinctrl 300b000.pinctrl: supply vcc-ph not found, using dummy regulator
<loki666> do you see that with .04 ?
<warpme> loki666 : well more-or-less yes: the same in .04 (in .07 there few more but just few)
<loki666> I'm no expert, but I guess one more could be enough
<warpme> it looks to me like .07 leaves pmic in state that kernel can't program pmic successfuly. I'm concluding this because: the same kernel bin/dt works wth .04 and fails with .07...
<loki666> wasn't there a change to use i2c instead of rsb for the pmic, but I don't think it landed .07 yet
<loki666> can you enable I2C support for your pmic in kernel ?
<loki666> CONFIG_MFD_AXP20X=y
<loki666> CONFIG_MFD_AXP20X_I2C=y
<loki666> CONFIG_MFD_AXP20X_RSB=y
<paulk> warpme: did you also update ATF with u-boot?
<paulk> looking at your log it's ATF that shows errors here
<warpme> paulk : with atf i'm on 2.10 so it looks like i'm using most current atf (non-lts)
<paulk> right
<paulk> was this after a cold boot or warm reset?
<warpme> loki666 : i'm not sure issue is within kernel as the same kernel works well on other h618 devces (e.g. vontar h618), h616 (tx6s). Issue is juat with zero2w (and zero3)
<warpme> paulk : it doesn't matther. With .07 i'm receiving "vdd-gpu: failed to get the current voltage: -ETIMEDOUT"
<warpme> and boot stops here
<paulk> and your 2024.04 that works uses the same ATF version?
<warpme> yes
<paulk> mhh so apparently there has been quite some rework of AXP drivers
<paulk> warpme: maybe add I/O tracing to the code and compare
<warpme> paulk: are you sure? "/drivers/power/*" are the same in .04 and .07....
<paulk> warpme: ah you're right, the rework was not merged yet in 2024.07

<Soupborsh> Hello, I created a wiki page for PocketBook 618, it is WIP https://linux-sunxi.org/PocketBook_Basic_Lux_4_(PB618)
<Soupborsh> I still do not know how to enter FEL.
<Soupborsh> Is there any way to find out which buttons and how I need to press them to enter FEL? Maybe this information is stored somewhere in memory?
<Soupborsh> I got full mmcblk0 image using dd, I can upload it(compressed) somewhere if needed.
