<pmelange>
Hi all. I am trying to build a custom image using the openwrt based SDK from teltonika. Unfortunately not all the packages from _base_ are included in the SDK, specifically libtool (needed for collectd). The custom SDK is based on tag v21.02.0. I copied the libtool directory from openwrt into the custom SDK. How can I get the SDK to "see" the new directory? ./scrips/feeds update -a doesn't work (it's not a feed, but from _ba

se_). Any help would be appreciated

in general, the SDK on vanilla OpenWrt is not meant to build firmware images, just individual packages. with Teltonika's vendor SDK, all bets are off and you'll have to assemble, fix and replace stuff to get that crap working
<pmelange>
That's exactly what I feared. :/

Well, I just went ahead that tried to run make after I copied the libtool directoy to it's proper place. Tadaa, it worked. Now to flash the image and see if it actually works.

PaulFertser: I doubt it has enough storage or free RAM for that
<PaulFertser>
It might have USB host.

that's fair

still, just asking for pain, really

Hmm... menuconfig, it seems suprisingly hard to remove firewall and some ppp stuff.. I'd love to keep luci, have wpad-openssl (aka all options with wifi), but 8m device tend to be right on limit, which is understandable.. but I've yet to determine what actually keeps forcing firewall and those ppp stuff, both luci and "libraries" etc stuff

The CC base you mention is just QSDK which was based on CC
<robimarko_>
Even they have finally moved on, but only to 19.07
<robimarko_>
Not that it has anything to do with OpenWrt once they are done with it

Well it can be added as testing whenever you feel like

wew 22.03 branch, I should try and see this on my mt76 devices. is there any upgrade incompatibilities with 21.xx?
<aparcar[m]>
\x it'll take more time until there are actual imags

i mean, i can just build it right

olmari: modify the luci collection dependencies to remove firewall and ppp or manually select the luci packages
<olmari>
swalker: I might try that... I managed to make image fit just, but too tight for my liking =) and I know I can manage without Luci too, but I'm lazy and jow and propably others too has done so amazing job with UI that it is often easier pr at least more convenient than CLI, both has places =)...
