ynezz: hi! It looks like mtd upstreaming of mtd parser is a lost cause. Most likely I need just to drop this commit. Who from the team (other than adschm) can be asked to review the remaining ramips-related commits?
<Blukey>
I have a 7582/90 AVM Fritzbox here and I got the source code from AVM gpl at the time. My question is how do I implement the source code in Openwrt

Blukey: do you wanna add support for this device in OpenWrt?
<Blukey>
Ich will eine custom Rom für meine beiden geredet bauen aber ich finde keine Anleitung

Adding support when gpl sources are available might be easier. But not so much. You need get info about SoC, hardware, gpio, flash layout. Check if the SoC is already supported by OpenWrt.
<csharper2005>
Did you upload GPL sources somewhere on github?

<neggles>
stintel: quick q if I may - did you get anywhere with DSA for the ar8237 on the OC200? I attempted to drag the hacky patch from your tree up to current but it doesn't seem to be probing even
<neggles>
80% chance it's "no, no, that's not how you do DSA in a devicetree, neggles" but

robimarko: gotcha! // Hi! I tried to look for you somewere around Nov'21 in both matrix rooms and in main owrt channel, and in owrt channel in libera, but didn't found. And I forgot to check here. So I decided you're not on IRC. And I spent this week to read all the messages I messed since november, and just read that you "had discussion on IRC", that triggered me to recheck ;)
<mva>
Anyway, hello again! ;)
<robimarko>
mva: Hi
<robimarko>
Yeah, I have been more active on IRC lately
<mva>
$,-4s/messed/missed/
<robimarko>
mva: Anything specific you wanted to discuss?
<mva>
robimarko: not yet. Just wanted to say "hi". At least, for now. I was happy to read about progress on 5.15 branch since december, but not yet finished reading the thread, so I not yet know current status (for example, about partitioning problem and HW offloading stuff). And don't want to waste your time on answering about that things that I'll end to read in few hours ;)
<robimarko>
mva: No offloading in 5.15, I am not focusing on it at all, cause that aint gonna be in OpenWrt ever
<robimarko>
As far as partitioning goes, just skip to the end of AX3600 thread
<robimarko>
Lets say that I found out why fixed-partitions werent working, and its really insane why
<mva>
typical quallcom things? :)

PaulFertser: i don't have the device opened up so no serial console for me
<pmanolov>
these are rather hard to open since they are glued and i don't have heat gun at home
<PaulFertser>
pmanolov: probably hair drier can work as well
<PaulFertser>
pmanolov: but I agree, with those outdoor devices it's probably a good idea to wait for some more comitted tinkerers to grab the log.
<pmanolov>
PaulFertser: if wife catches me in the middle of that operation i may have to pay for it :)
<pmanolov>
PaulFertser: things were going rather smooth (with snapshot builds) for the last month, it is the last two that ruined the party
<PaulFertser>
pmanolov: that's unfortunate. BTW, do you know it supports 2.5GBASE-T ?
<PaulFertser>
pmanolov: using a hair drier is supposed to be safe for all devices involved.
<pmanolov>
i had to build a snapshot from source (timed it to .107 kernel update) to get the router back online
<pmanolov>
PaulFertser: the devices are going to be fine, i won't :)
<pmanolov>
yes, the kernel reports 2.5GBASE-T capability of the eth port
<pmanolov>
i was able to get my ax200 to peak to 900mbps, measured with iperf3, though
<PaulFertser>
pmanolov: I suggest you file a github ticket then. And probably it's unifi-6-lr specific, not mt7622-generic in the end.
<pmanolov>
PaulFertser: i do hope so; however, i've got very little technical data; i'm not sure how helpful "the last snapshot boot-loops" is going to be;
<PaulFertser>
pmanolov: I think it's good enough if you specify which version bootloops and which doesn't.
