<aiyion> Good evening. Can someone tell me hwo I configure a sunxi build, that outputs a sysupgrade image?
schwicht has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<aiyion> anyone?
<tmn505> aiyion: what's Your boot medium. Btw sdcard image is also a sysupgrade image in that target.
<aiyion> tmn505: the internal eMMC running "friendlyWRT"
<aiyion> in that case I'll try to sysupgrade that.
<tmn505> editing of boot.scr file might be needed in that case.
<aiyion> any documentation on that?

<johnf> hey, I'm trying to update some packages on a very old openwrt build
<johnf> and I'm able to compile, but not install, my package
<johnf> does anyone have any idea why this would happen and what can be done to fix it?
<johnf> hmm, someone in there says that "install" is deprecated
<johnf> but it's still documented in the "Building a single package" page and I don't believe that it is

<aiyion> looks like I'm gonna find out how recovery works on these devices.
<aiyion> sysupgrading the sdcard image via 'sysupgrade' on friendlyWRT bricks it.

<svanheule> stintel: do you have LLDP traffic traversing your GS108Tv3? I was informed today that shouldn't be happening, but I'm not sure the driver is setting that up correctly (the driver also calls it "LLTP")
<stintel> svanheule: I'm not seeing this on my gs108, but I am seeing that on the Unifi Switch Flex
<stintel> neither are running recent images though
<stintel> usf: r20357-8c04a5c456 gs108: r19060-8b72a5097c
<stintel> I should probably upgrade
<stintel> but call of duty
<svanheule> I think the last relevant change was for LLDP on realtek was r18862-d22923be668c, so you're running something newer
<svanheule> then the action for LLDP would be "forward"; of which I'm not sure what it means, since there's also "flood"

<karlp> jow: if I'm editing js view files on the target directly, how can I force reloads? in the old days, ctrl-shift-r, or adding a ?blah=wop would normally do the trick, but i'm regularly seeing things like "request for viewname.js?v=git-blah" (cached)
<karlp> I've turned off ccache in luci's uci config and rm -rf /tmp/luci-*, but I'm missing something else?
<jow> karlp: hm, this never has been an issue here. On both Firefox and Chrome it is usually enough to have the debug tools open to inhibit any caching
<jow> ccache was some old Lua bytecode precompilation thingy, it has little effect nowaday
<jow> an while devloping, doing ctl-shift-r is usually enough to load the latest view .js
<karlp> ahh, the tick box "disable cache" in developer tools will do well enough for me.
