<mrkiko>
robimarko: apart from the fact that - in the nbg7815, by default you are using a small portion of the eMMC; is it the same on the qnap?
<robimarko>
mrkiko: One roofs partition is used on Qnap, honestly no idea about the size
<\x>
ei robi on that qualcomax branch, is that MR7350 there like bootable and has wifi working already? if so i can build and test
<robimarko>
\x: It boots but no WiFI
<robimarko>
It still resets after ath11k probes
<f00b4r0>
nbd: can spotfilter work with a non-wireless interface? I'm trying it that way but as soon as I turn it on, tcpdump shows that any incoming traffic to the interface is never replied
<robimarko>
\x: IPQ6018 will take some time as I want to do it properly and remoteproc is not cooperating so I just moved on to CPUFreq and thermals for now
<robimarko>
Though I also started working after an extended holiday so time is kind of limited
<\x>
yeah dw
<\x>
5.15 does work and pretty stable so im sure as hell every 60xx user there can wait
<robimarko>
\x: Well, it would be awesome to have more devs

robimarko: out of curiosity (I am not going to use it presumably) - do you think one day 8x8 support might be added to ath11k ? (the two radios in openwrt, which are one in stock firmware, in devices like nbg7815)
<robimarko>
mrkiko: Honestly, no idea
<robimarko>
I guess they modified hostapd to do something like that

Mangix: e.g. https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commitdiff;h=bd17683261e1dde1fdd4223745852de1ce8cfc89 but it won't reach 10 GBit/s in practice, without NSS support
<slh>
Mangix: for 10 GBit/s, I would look at a used Lenovo Thinkcentre M800 SFF or similar devices from the big four (Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo), skylake/ kabylake i3/ i5 and using their half-height PCIe slots for 1-2 10GBe cards
<slh>
zero compatibility problems, enough performance - idle power might range between 10-30 watts (that's a bit hard to guess in advance)
<slh>
and pretty quiet
<SlimeyX>
heh nm one of those moments ;)
<slh>
Dell and (especially-) HP seems to be more on the special notebook'y components train for the SFF devices, might pay off in terms of idle power consumption
<slh>
(that's why I usually prefer Lenovo/ Fujitsu, easier to find 'normal' replacement parts)
