can now run like MT7916 / 7921U / 7922 / 7921K with 6GHz support in luci
<\x>
then ipq40xx now on DSA
<mrkiko>
\x: if I'm not wrong, mostly it is
<\x>
the ones that didnt migrate just got disabled
<\x>
so ipq40xx is now on DSA

well, there are no routers/ AP with 6 GHz radios supported so far (one PR adding the telenor/ zyxel 5600(?) pending), so calling wifi6e supported would be a little premature
philipp64 has joined #openwrt-devel
<\x>
but it is supported now on hardware that exposes it, which is mainly mediatek wifi cards, i think also intel ones can do it but as client
<slh64>
yes, you can plug 6 GHz capable wlan cards into PCIe slots, but that's a bit more hands on
<slh64>
it's just not something I'd emphasize at this point (without any real device being added)
<\x>
ok

I can set MAKE_PATH to point to a different subdirectory to compile something. However, than I use cmake this becomes obsolete and it does not care anymore?

okay, found it. CMAKE_SOURCE_SUBDIR is fixing it

release notes: maybe emphasize openwrt supports devices with multigigabit ethernet now? (2.5gbit/s and 5gbit/s, not sure about 10gbit/s)

Hmmm wonder if I should update to filogic from mt7621. Sounds pointless

Slimey: this link creates a new PR...
<oliv3r[m]>
So I have some firewall irks :( I want to use -P INPUT DROP but then allow 'all interfaces, that are not ppp0(quite contrary I know :p). I trust (most) of my internal interfaces, but I want to block (and whitelist) myppp0. Obvious right? So my basic starting point was -P INPUT DROP; -A INPUT -i '*' -j ACCEPT (just as an experiment). Sadly that doesn't work. However doing -A INPUT -j ACCEPT DOES work. PRINTING the tables (with
<oliv3r[m]>
-v) shows exactly the same output. What gives?
<oliv3r[m]>
(I may end up doing `-P INPUT ACCEPT; <rules for ppp0> -A INPUT -i ppp0 -j DROP` in the end, but it irks me still

Mangix: depends a bit on what you want to do with it, filogic will bump the CPU performance and the available RAM - so if you're short on either to meet your demands (be it routing performance, sqm or additional features), filogic 830 should provide a significant boost. in many cases filogic should also push you beyond DBDC, so to real 3x3 or 4x4 for both bands - another thing to consider, do you want
<slh>
to wait for 6 GHz capable devices or do you 'need' an upgrade now
schwicht has quit [Quit: My MacBook has gone to sleep. ZZZzzz…]

Mangix: I'm in kind of a similar situation, I already have a xiaomi ax3600 (ipq8071a) and d-link dap-x1860 (mt7621a+mt7915DBDC) as AP - while filogic is tempting, it doesn't make sense /for me/ to buy it, until there are devices with 6 GHz support, just not _enough_ of an upgrade to buy new stuff
