<Christophe[m]1> Is it expected that I'm getting an "Unsupported branch: 23.05.0-rc1" error when using the Firmware Selector?
<dwfreed> it probably hasn't been updated yet
<dwfreed> what device?
<Christophe[m]1> r7800 (ipq806x)
<dwfreed> I don't get that
<Christophe[m]1> https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=23.05.0-rc1&target=ipq806x%2Fgeneric&id=netgear_r7800 after clicking "Customize installed packages and/or first boot script" and "request build" I get said error
<dwfreed> asu hasn't been updated for 23.05 yet
<dwfreed> https://sysupgrade.openwrt.org/ note there's no mention of 23.05 in the list

<owrt-images-builds> Build [#37](https://buildbot.staging.openwrt.org/images/#/builders/64/builds/37) of `master_bcm47xx/mips74k` failed.
<ynezz> hm, tools/flex failed to build "configure: error: /usr/bin/env bash ./build-aux/config.sub x86_64-pc-linux-gnu failed"
<ynezz> ./build-aux/config.sub: line 64: warranty: command not found, so warranty is over
<ynezz> git diff b8e3fa2d1..9519a625499 on the changes between good/bad build is not providing any clue either, so probably some kind of rare concurrency bug?

<Ansuel> ynezz what a strange bug how much core we use to build images?
schwicht has quit []
<ynezz> 3 cores :P
<ynezz> IMO its actually 2 with nproc+1 overshooting
<ynezz> ok, so it's "cpuset: 0-2"
<Ansuel> the error is strange for sure i have read some guy here using 31 core to build openwrt

<ynezz> well its some OpenStack instance, so KVM with 12 vCPUs and 32GB of RAM, we're partitioning that host into 4 workers with 3 vCPUs and 8GB each
<ynezz> it might be some caused by some race due to slow disk I/O or such
<ynezz> created #12889 just in case we start seeing it more often

<f00b4r0> my buildbots were building with 20+cpus; and I casually build images with all 48. Never seen this.
<f00b4r0> ynezz: btw fwiw I once ran some parallelism tests and noticed that the sweet spot seems to hover around 10-12 cpus per buildbot. But that was with no I/O bottleneck (gobs of RAM, disks was only written to, never read from).

<FLD> https://paste.debian.net/1282727/ what dependency am i missing here?
<PaulFertser> FLD: looks like somehow "sed" didn't do its job. Anything special about your system or sed there?
<dwfreed> PaulFertser: nah, the sed itself is broken
<PaulFertser> Hm, no, actually sed got wrong input.
<dwfreed> read line 8 :)
<PaulFertser> -e 's,@''ENHANCE_LOCALE_FUNCS''@,@ENHANCE_LOCALE_FUNCS@,g' \
<dwfreed> FLD: can you go to /home/fld/dev/openwrt/build_dir/hostpkg/gettext-0.21.1/gettext-runtime and pastebin the config.log in that dir?
