01:27 <evx256> so i'm actually able to present a non-xcb based application on the vulkan driver! i can see the correct clear color being done, but alas, no triangle; i have a cube example too, which also presents with a black clear, but does not render the cube. i also tried a more complex shadow example with hardware pcf and this runs and presents (with same issue, nothing showing), but after exit it crashes the window manager (phoc) somehow

01:27 <evx256> looks like egl dies in an allocation or something (i have the stack trace if anyone is curious, but that's probably for another channel?), although i've seen gles3 apps also crash phoc after presenting, so :shrug:
