what c compiler is used for mesa, is it gcc, or is clang also supported? also i'm seeing some warnings for gcc 9 struct param passing changed, so wondering if people use older gcc, or perhaps clang
<HdkR>
either one works
<evx256>
so i'm noticing that panfrost_create_surface is being called over and over again (looks like every frame); i don't know idioms of mesa, but i would think create would mean it's using some gpu resources to allocate a texture or framebuffer; is this expected behavior?
<HdkR>
It's expected behaviour. Pretty sure it only allocates some CPU side resources
<evx256>
ok, thanks for answer
