tobhe changed the topic of #ubuntu-asahi to: Ubuntu-Asahi development | Github: https://github.com/UbuntuAsahi | Logs: https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/ubuntu-asahi
<eslerm[m]> wooo! it's working
<eslerm[m]> streaming with a friend now :)
<tobhe[m]> nice :)
<kaazoo> I think we also need a new asahi-fwupdate version to extract the webcam calibration files. See https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/webcam-users-manual-action-needed-for-full-image-quality/92027
kaazoo has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
<tobhe[m]> <kaazoo> "I think we also need a new asahi..." <- hm possible. let me test that
<tobhe[m]> (unless you already have a diff)
kaazoo has joined #ubuntu-asahi
<kaazoo> Webcam works now with new m1ni1 and kernel. :)
<kaazoo> Only thing is that the camera calibration files are not extracted yet, so the image quality is not the best.
<tobhe[m]> working on a fix for that
<tobhe[m]> user@ubuntu:/lib/firmware/vendor/apple$ ls
<tobhe[m]> dfrmtfw-j293.bin isp_1820_01XX.dat isp_1921_01XX.datisp_8720_01XX.dat tpmtfw-j413.bin
<tobhe[m]> dfrmtfw-j493.bin isp_1822_02XX.dat isp_1922_02XX.datisp_8723_01XX.dat tpmtfw-j493.bin
<tobhe[m]> looks good
<tobhe[m]> meanwhile I think I can start syncing things from testing to main
<tobhe[m]> new fwextract is uploading
cassio has joined #ubuntu-asahi
kaazoo has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
cassio has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<tobhe[m]> <kaazoo> "To get appleh13camerad from..." <- i feel like we can automate that
<tobhe[m]> would be nice if it just worked on upgrade
<tobhe[m]> looks like we could get audio and mic support very soon too
<john-cabaj[m]> Good stuff
<john-cabaj[m]> Are all updates (firmware update, m1n1) live for the current image? Thinking about updating tonight
<tobhe[m]> asahi-fwextract is missing from the image and kernel is a few days old
<tobhe[m]> but i can build a new one tonight
LP has joined #ubuntu-asahi
LP has quit []
kaazoo has joined #ubuntu-asahi
<tobhe[m]> Haven't seen that before 🙂
<john-cabaj[m]> That's awesome tobhe
kaazoo has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
<tobhe[m]> my new jammy image builds aren't working yet
<tobhe[m]> it doesn't pick up the ubuntu-asahi meta package and kernel for some reason...
<tobhe[m]> Let's see if some debug prints help
<tobhe[m]> looks like it worked this time
<tobhe[m]> Get:539 http://ppa.launchpad.net/tobhe/asahi/ubuntu jammy/main arm64 ubuntu-asahi arm64 1.15 [2806 B]
<tobhe[m]> oh looks like the last one didn't use my patched livecd-rootfs
<john-cabaj[m]> Where do the new images upload?
<tobhe[m]> so it's a bit complicated
<tobhe[m]> and then there is a script in https://github.com/UbuntuAsahi/ubuntu-asahi/
<tobhe[m]> to fetch the build products and pack them up in the format the asahi installer expects
<tobhe[m]> and that is then uploaded to https://files.tobhe.de/ubuntu/os/
<tobhe[m]> there are yaks to shave here
