<enick_81> Possible speaker support incoming
<tobhe[m]> not for me because I only have an m2 air 🙂 but still exciting
<tobhe[m]> we need to start looking into packaging speakersafetyd
<enick_81> Is that a driver module?
<tobhe[m]> a userland daemon
<tobhe[m]> in rust
<enick_81> Hm
<enick_81> systemd service?
<tobhe[m]> yes
<enick_81> Gonna built this kernel for now
<enick_81> s/built/build/
<eslerm[m]> tobhe: should we add the beta install script to ubuntuasahi.org ?
<tobhe[m]> no, because we don't support it
<enick_81> I'm going to try to trim the kernel configs in this build if I can. The differences stated from generic were quite large, and I don't think it needs to be.
<tobhe[m]> sounds good. i dropped a lot of stuff for shorter build time
<tobhe[m]> that's probably not necessary anymore
<enick_81> Well, it's about 12 hours now
<enick_81> Was it longer before?

<john-cabaj> Hmm, why does my OFTC show me as enick_81..
<john-cabaj> Thunderbird is confused
<tobhe[m]> hm no i think mine was shorter
<eslerm[m]> <tobhe[m]> "no, because we don't support it" <- I'm okay not hosting it
<eslerm[m]> we could say it is not supported if we did
<tobhe[m]> idk, i would rather maintain the distinction and promote images to the proper one instead
