<tobhe[m]>
with twice the podcast and blog output?
<popey[m]>
oh god, I hope not! :D

<popey>
huh, weird, my m1 will no longer allow me to adjust speaker volume.
<popey>
if i mute, using the key, i get the toast notification, but it doesnt actually mute. volume adjusting no longer works either
<popey>
i can dial it down one notch from 100%, and no further
<tobhe[m]>
weird. nothing should have changed from our side.
<tobhe[m]>
but audio still works?
<tobhe[m]>
and the gnome ui volume slider?
<popey>
yes
<popey>
then, immediately after i typed all that, my gnome session exploded
<popey>
and now volume works
<popey>
interestingly before it exploded, the popup just says 'speakers' whereas now it's back to 'MacBook Air J313 Speakers' like it usually is
<popey>
also, also, i had a btop session running in a screen session while the gnome desktop went bang. i quickly looked and ram usage was through the roof and then dropped. so i wonder if it's OOM
<popey>
noting oom related in dmesg though
<john-cabaj[m]>
I've seen similar OOM issues that caused lockup some time ago
<popey[m]>
(yes, i know this will consume more power)
<popey>
final thing i keep meaning to mention. The nextcloud desktop client snap works fine, but the popup box from the indicator just gives me a white window. thinking it might be a snap/gpu driver thing
